The Treat You NEED

On Sunday, we Instagramed a snack created by mongers Chris, Jimmy, and Joe. It was an off the cuff nosh that we have had every single day since. It was 3pm, I was sitting in our backroom writing cheese descriptions for the website, and all I wanted was a nap or a big slab of chocolate. Suddenly, the guys came trooping in and set down this spread in front of me. Had I fallen asleep? Was I having some kind of amazing dream? No, it was real life and I was just that lucky. They brought in a very ripe Brillat Savarin, a triple cream cheese from France that is buttery, salty, and tangy. This one was almost completely liquid making it unsellable but extremely delicious, so it was ours, all ours! The guys cut off the bottom for easy access to an EXCELLENT spread for major crunchy cracker dippage. After we filled our Firehook Crackers with cheese, we dripped the amazing Truff truffle hot sauce over the top. It tasted like the most gold plated, diamond studded queso dip ever. The spicy sauce combined with the butter rich Brillat was such a surprisingly good combination, we all looked at each other, astonished, and then the feeding frenzy began. Dots of Truff smeared the table, cracker crumbs were everywhere, smooshes of Brillat were found on cheeks, elbows, and pant legs. It was quite a freaking fantastic way to finish out our Sunday, and then enhance our Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, today, and hopefully forever and ever into the future.
