Grapefruit with Maple Sugar

Grapefruit Oatmeal Labneh.jpg

I recently went on a field trip with my first grader to learn about Maple Sugaring. It was bitter cold, but the syrup was sweet and smoky, and has since made me mad for all things maple. I thought what a treat it would be to marry the tart, juiciness of winter citrus with the warm, sweet, caramelized maple. Luckily, I had many maple products to choose from here at the shop. The Maple Sugar from Honey Pot Maple Farm was fantastic sprinkled on my grapefruit, and I grabbed the Maple Cream from Spring Brook Farm to stir into my Labneh. I have used both of these in various breakfast goodies, but recently for one afternoon snack, I polished off the Maple Cream with some sliced apples and a chunk of cheddar cheese. Maple Madness is here! Enjoy!
