Turtle Creek Wine Tasting with Marcia

The lovely Marcia is here form Turtle Creek in Lincoln, MA to pour Kip Kumler’s iconic local wines. With busy tourist season upon us, we’re discovering that this is a great time of year to highlight our local beverage selections. Make sure to browse our Domestic Northeast wine and cider section next time you’re in the shop! Better yet, brave the crowds and come by on Saturday to drink local with us!

2014 Estate Chardonnay ($25)
This is a great example of a cool-climate Chardonnay in a Burgundian style: good acidity, clean & transparent. All grapes are estate grown right in Concord, MA! Pair with roasted chicken breast, clam chowder, or even a cheesy burger.

2012 Estate Cabernet Franc ($35)
This is a fantastic red wine from all estate grown Cabernet Franc. It is so earthy, dry, and robust. Lots of cranberry fruit and dried cherries. Hold onto this beauty for Thanksgiving to share with your friends and family, or open this weekend with steak and potatoes.

2014 Riesling ($21)
Turtle Creek's 2014 Riesling grapes come from Lahoma Vineyard on the east side of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes of New York. Turtle Creek leaves their Riesling in stainless tanks for a year before release. With only 15 grams of residual sugar, this is not a sweet Riesling, and it has a beautiful piercing acidity on the finish that leaves you craving Cornish Kern cow's milk cheese from England on A&J’s baguette!
